When they mentioned that they deal directly with Horizon (the bank I always use for car financing) I decided to save a trip by letting the salesman file the loan. I remarked that the rate seemed high, but I knew interest rates were fluctuating so I didn’t think much of it. When I asked Horizon why the rate was triple what they offered me a week later on another car they said the high rate was requested by the dealer.
