I went here over a year ago twice. Bryn Mawr’s psych unit is the best that I have been to. You get your own room and your own bathroom, you don’t share anything with a roommate. The doctors actually sit with you and talk with you for real for real (more than just 5 minutes guys!) and I actually got the help that I needed from this hospital. One of my biggest fears was going to a hospital that would make my depression worse. This was so far from the case at Bryn Mawr's psychiatric inpatient that I didn't want to leave. You get your own room and bathroom with different ambient lighting to choose from, the food is very good and you get to select your meals (as much food as you want), and the staff is outstanding. If your insurance is accepted anywhere else go there. To be admitted to the "psych ward" you have to go through the ER and no one should ever have to endure that. I can't put into words what I've dealt with in that place

With most mental health hospitals, visitors walk in and see a gorgeous layout, and then get brought to what essentially is a white prison for it’s patients. This was not the experience in the slightest at Bryn Mawr Hospital Psych Unit. The unit itself was beautiful- pictures on the walls, comfy chairs and couches. Hard to say as my relative on a 302 and threatening violence, serious mental illness and homeless was never admitted. Rude, short-tempered interviewer. Even he was shocked. Just dumped on street.
