Edit 2 - Just remembered how Dr. Schwartz made me sign a document under fale pretense and then looked up my medical history illegally and then used it to force me into AOT and refused to explain to the judge that I was a victim of medical malpractice. Edit- I raised my review to 2 stars due to a pleasant interaction with Dr. Ramirez. I felt he treated me with respect. The doctor is good. But when I admited in the hospital staff said you are really spoiled that I have go to dead thought.

My Son was sent here. He told me they treated him with respect in the psychiatric center. He said they seem to be very caring unlike Coney Island Hospital, where they nearly choked him to death, and the staff is extremely rude there. Bottom line is more needs to be done for our loved ones. Hospitals need more funding . unfortunately this hospital now is going to be a city hospital. Hopefully it doesn't go downhill. And for the staff, please remember our loved ones can't help the way they act when they are brought in. You too... read more

Edit- I raised my review to 2 stars due to a pleasant interaction with Dr. Ramirez. I felt he treated me with respect. When I started at Maimonides Psychiatry I was 145 pounds, had a 3.751 GPA, had not used substances in years, and had 2 hospitalization over a 5 year undiagnosed period. After 1.5 years I weighed 233 pounds, my GPA dropped to 2.775, I relapsed to substance use, and was hospitalized over 6 times. I reported this medical malpractice to the hospital and they promoted Dr. Ramirez to supervisor and put me in AOT. ... read more

Communication and outreach BAD. Doctor NEVER replied to emails or phone calls, failed to communicate efficiently, cause prescription delayed and appointment delayed. Prescription never on time!!! Scheduling appointments is equally frustrating because communication is so poor. Because of their repeated delays, I have been forced to go without my medication for at least one week almost every month. This has caused unnecessary withdrawal symptoms, worsening anxiety, and put my mental health at risk. No reliability at all, this ... read more
