Hard to believe it's been nearly 14 years since I moved away from my favorite bakery. When I lived in Glenview, I loved stopping in here after Seven Brothers... when I was a kid Seven Brothers was right next store. ;-) Happy Holidays!
Are you kidding? This Mecca needs a review!!? If you haven't tried the Heavenly creations from this bakery wonderland, you've not had the best. The store is tiny and plain-looking, but the wizards who run this Godsend churn out creations that will make your knees wobbly. Their coffee cakes are sinfully deliscious and the chocolate chip coffee cake, in particular, makes you feel so good that it should be considered a "controlled substance" by the government. We have had good luck We have had good luck at Maiers Bakery. I have had their cookies donuts and cakes. The prices are reasonable and the food good. I do wish they had better hours but that is just how bakeries are. I have gone there for many years and would go again.
