Took my car to the Ithaca Toyota maguire body shop after hitting a dear. They said it would take a week to repair my car and cost my insurance about $2500 originally. The job ended up taking three weeks and costing around $5000, which would be fine, but maguire did not call me once to communicate to me the additional costs or the extended time. Staff not helpful and said that they couldn't help after I had been there for an hour trying to figure out Maguire Credit. They turned me away in a somewhat disrespectful way that would make most customers not return there and look elsewhere.
Went in for a service inspection and they said they topped off all fluids. My windshield wiper reservoir was left completely empty. That alone isn't a big deal but now I'm wondering if they even changed the oil, replaced the filter, etc. Now I feel like they do sketchy maintenance/cut corners.
Came here to give a shoutout to Joel. The car shopping experience was simple and his customer service was remarkably well suited to our buying preferences. He was informative, supportive and not all all pushy or preachy - a rare find for the industry.
