The Magnolia Grill, a favorite eatery of locals and tourists alike, is located on Silver Street in Historic (and somewhat notorious) Natchez Under-the-Hill. Very nice view of the muddy Mississippi so we stopped in to watch while getting a bite. Food was pretty good- sweet potatoes fries could of been cooked a bit longer, chicken club was good amount and tasty. Waitress was not the friendliest! Entered and was told have a seat anywhere, no greeting-hum! Was only one other table with two ladies at it. Felt like we were interrupting the employees talking time that were standing around by the bar area.
We came at the same time as two other couples. Very busy and we were told to seat ourselves.....which we did. Two more couples came after us, waited for tables to be cleared, also seated themselves and THEY were served before us. When we could finally get someone’s attention, I said ‘why is everyone else being served first?’ She said ‘Well did you let anyone know you were here?’ Seriously! I felt it was very rude. Wonderful food, service, and atmosphere! Oysters Bienville and Magnolia shrimp was delicious 😋
We were able to have a river view table! Food and service was great. We will definitely eat here again when we are in the area.
