My Google search for a black-owned flower delivery business in Connecticut brought me to Mae Flower and Gift Shop, and I was even happier to see it was women-owned. My sister-in-law, a black woman, was celebrating a special day and I wanted to support all who endeavor to make a difference in the world. I received excellent customer service and my sister-in-law received a beautiful arrangement. We are both very happy.

I so happy to have learned of Mae’s Flower & Gift Shop. I decided on a sympathy stand arrangement for a funeral, forgetting to consider how short my notice was. As the funeral service was the very next morning! Mae’s was recommended to me by another local florist who unfortunately wasn’t able to complete the order & delivery on such short notice and I am so grateful for that recommendation. I love getting flowers from Mae Flower and Gift Shop! It's a mother and daughter duo and they are both sweet and kind to work with. I get flowers for my friends birthday ever year and they all love and appreciate them, so much so they also have started to get their flowers from here. One of the many things that I like about Mae's Flower Shop is that they go the extra mile and personalize the ribbon that is tied to the bouquet, which is nice and elevates the presentation of the flowers greatly. Went to get a surprise bouquet for my wife. The flowers were stunning and my wife loved them. They make beautiful arrangements for reasonable prices. I would def go back for more arrangements!
