I have recently moved into these apartments. I couldn t be more pleased. My apartment is very clean and nice. My neighbors are very nice and friendly. This is a quiet and nice place to live. I feel very safe here. The grounds are well kept up. If I need anything fixed. The manager gets right on it. The location is great. This is my home and I just love it.
This place is not well-kept at all. The owner does not care much about maintenance and feels he can come into your apartment at any time without notification when you are not there. The carpet is dirty, he paints over holes in the wall without properly fixing them and takes an extremely long time to do routine maintenance. He had the nerve to come by my apartment when my son was visiting (and i wasn t home) and ask if he was staying there permenantly. How crude!
I was and still am VERY pleased with my stay at Monarch Apartments. I would still be there if it were not for my job. The location is perfect and the neighborhood is wonderful especially for families. It is located near several local schools including Albemarle HS. Neighbors are VERY friendly and helpful and always considerate as well.My apartment had all brand new appliances and ceramic tile flooring. We truly enjoyed our experience as residents of Monarch Apartments. Monarchs Owners, Managment and Maintenance are Honest, Helpful and Fair, and always went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction with all aspects of our home. The apartments are older than dirt and the owner has not put money into keeping them upkept. Every flaw has a substandard fix (caulking over cracks in the shower, paint over old peeling paint, old carpet shampooed). When I gave my reasons for not wanting to live here the manager responded that he had plenty of people that lived there that were "perfectly happy". These are cheap apartments. Another point of concern- very poor lighting at night-- be careful girls.
We viewed the apartments and they are not very nice at all. Granted he doesnt want alot compared to surronding ares.
