Jennifer Newcomer was by far the best therapist I have ever had, and I have tried several over the years. She was real, down to earth, helpful, had common sense, actually gave me useful advice, and showed me how to apply the skills I learned. I felt like she actually cared about my well being. She listened to me and understood how I was feeling. I would highly recommend her. I felt a lot better after going to her.

Our marriage counselor/psychologist dumped us as a couple after two visits and said he would only see us individually. He said we were dysfunctional and confusing and asked the wife if she knew she was a very big part of the problem. I feel very insulted, and stupid, because I knew we probably needed someone with more education, finesse, experience and IQ. He was afraid to demean the man, but was quick to insult the woman. Not only did I find a parking spot right away, but I knew my car was safe because the spots were designated and close to the entrance. I could tell that they took pride in their office's appearance. It was very well organized and well taken care of. They are extremely reliable. They dress so professionally here.

I visited the office in Overland Park and was less than impressed. They have offices all over KC and one in Lawrence so its a chain. If you want a personal counseling experience avoid this place. The therapist looked tired and uninterested. Twice I had to repeat myself because she said she wasn't following me. I never went back.
