This is a pricey version of mexican food. I call it Fru-Fru mexican. The restaurant atmosphere is very nice and the service adequate. Food is above average. However, if you want good mexican at a better price, travel a few miles east to Picante. It is a much better value.
Coming from Southern California I should know what real Mexican food taste like. It was my first time there so I can't really rate it they way I want to, but the menu looked authentic. I tried the wet burrito which was pretty good. I had the chips (home made great) and queso salsa which was ok. I was talking to the waiter about adding certain Mexican soups to the menu this winter also to add Pico de Gallo salsa. Will I try this place again yes. Wonderful place serving great Mexican foods and drinks. Quickly served our large party. Homemade crispy chips w salsa and excellent margaritas started us out in the right foot. Several of us commented on how good the margaritas were. The generous portions on each of our plates were impressive. And the attractiveness of each was very inviting. We were all pleased w the quality and the tastiness of our individual meals. Our waitress was very attentive, and the waitstaff was quick to serve our needs. Great dining experience.
