I was refered to Dr. Apfel by a friend and have been seeing her ever since. She is very relaxing and always keeps her patients aware of exactly what she is doing. That is much appreciated! It is a small office off of Gramercy Park, which in my opinion only makes it that much friendlier.

I came to Dr. Apfel on a friend's recommendation, and never has a recommendation been more appreciated. Dr. Apfel and her staff are friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable and v ery generous in sharing their knowledge. Other dentists have told me that my gum recession can't be helped and have left it at that - - Dr. Apfel and her staff have given me explanations of why it may happen and what I can do to slow it and control the resulting sensitivity. Went in for an exam due to a slight discomfort in my right upper molars. Had x-rays taken and then was left waiting in the chair for 30 minutes before Dr. Apfel finally came in to speak with me. I was told I did not have any cavities and that the discomfort was caused by receding gums, probably due to my brushing too forcefully with a hard-bristle toothbrush. Madeline Apfel has been my dentist longer than any other professional - medical or otherwise - whom I've been a patient/client/customer of. She's the absolute best - competent, caring, and enjoyable. I can't quite say I look forward to a dentist visit, but she's the closest I can imagine to making me want to go.

Fantastic! - Great chair side manner. Clearly at the top of her game. Support staff is excellent.
