I have been going to the madeline center for over 6 years. The madeline center has absolutely saved my life. It has a very special place in my heart. It hurts my heart to read some comments about some of the peoples experience. I am turely sorry to hear that anyone has had to go through situations they have went through at the madeline. I sought help at The Madeline Centre for mental health support, but it was one of the worst decisions I made. The therapists lacked empathy and seemed more focused on billing hours than actual recovery – sessions felt rushed and unhelpful, like they were just going through the motions to get paid. Confidentiality was a joke; my personal details were mishandled, and I felt exposed and violated. I came to The Madeline Centre seeking genuine support for my recovery, but it was a complete waste of time and emotionally damaging. The staff showed zero respect for confidentiality— they twisted my words in notes to make me look bad, ignoring HIPAA rules entirely. When I raised concerns to higher-ups, there was no kindness or resolution; I left every session more upset than before. Amazing friendly and real life staff…. Accepts you where you come from but encourages growth and helps you better understand yourself and the WHY behind it all! Wish I’d found them sooner!
This is not a safe place to go for therapy. They do not respect confidentially, HIPAA law and protecting patients. After reviewing my notes they put half statements I said to make me look bad but left out the other half of that statement. I am highly upset and hurt about this even when speaking to higher ups I still did not receive any kind of human kindness or respect.
