AVOID - ILLEGAL CREDIT CHARGES!!! – I went there with some Hampton locals and we had a good time at the bar - good music, awesome backyard, fun people. I tried to pay once for 2 drinks I had ordered (which totalled $30) and was told if I wanted to use a card I had to open a tab for at least $45. I left it open, ordered another drink a few hours later and closed it when we left. Once I returned home, my bank statement said I was charged $125 for a $45 tab. Superb night out here!! – Had a superb night out at Madame Tong's... always heard it was a cool sceney spot so expected service to be poor but it was fantastic. The maitre'd was extremely pleasant and our server could not have been better... we moved to the cosy table by the outdoor fire place, best table in the house! Food was good but very $$$! Place was packed from 11pm until we left at 2am, fun cool crowd. The bad reviews here are clearly from the sour peeps that couldn't get in as door seemed fairly strict...
Fun for dancing! – I've never eaten here but its a great place to party and dance. Very classy, adult crowd. I'm here now!
Stay away. – Apparently, Madame Tong's owner is broke, but we didn't know this Saturday night. The place was nearly empty which nearly, and should have, scared us off. They waited until after we were seated and ordered drinks to tell us the menu was "limited" because of a mechanical issue in the kitchens. They said the hoods were broken. Best nightclub (not restaurant) in the Hamptons! – My favorite place in the Hamptons ... but not for food! I've been going to Tong's for years for the bar scene, which is great. In all those years I have NEVER had dinner there. I have dinner someplace else and then go to Madame Tong's to dance. There is no better place to dance in the Hamptons. Yes, their drinks are overpriced, but at least they don't force you to buy a bottle for $250 like most of the other bars. If you're looking for great food, good service or cheap drink... read more
Cool Scene....But a huge rip off! – The place looks cool and the other guests were fun and friendly but $14.00 for rail drinks is a rip off. To charge $14.00 for Stoli and Captain Morgan is ridiculous. The whole bottle costs that. And on top of that. I had to wait over 5 minutes for my drink and the bartender put on a 20% tip. That is my choice to leave the appropriate tip. His job is to make drinks quickly. By the way, draft beer which costs about 50 cents a glass was $8.00. Next time I go I'll bring my own in! Avoid Dining Here At All Costs, But a Decent Night Spot – We were a group of 21 women at a bachelorette party. We had preordered the appetizers and the dinner so we believed things would run smoothly. Unfortunately, we waited to be seated, and at 9:30 pm, we sat down, and waited until 12:00 to get our dinner.
