good mexican food This place is has a good food and great service. I would recomend it. The place has improved quite a bit since they expanded it. Parking is a hassle on some days.
ok, but other locations are better Love mad mex another big burrito mexican restaurant. But dont reccommend this location. I have been here prob 4 times and each time something went wrong. Once the waitress even forgot to put our entree in! the calamari is usually great, but we went one night and they burnt ours they said then ran out so they brought us a half portion that was half cooked. They expected us to pay for it. I havent been to that location since. I highly reccommend the oakland location. Get the chix salad. its b... read more
Great authentic mexican I'm surprised the other reviewers only gave this place 3 stars. This is as close as you get get to Tex-Mex without actually having to go to Texas. There are a lot of original choices on the menu, and there's sure to be something for everyone (they have quite a bit of vegetarian items - try the chick pea chili burrito!). Nice environment friendly people over all excellent experience
Don't believe the hype – I'm also a Texas transplant, and my wife and I consider ourselves experts in the realm of chips, salsa, and queso. One of the first places recommended to us for a Mexican food fix was MadMex, and we were eager to find a decent replacement for all the great restaurants we left back home. This was not it. Ho Hum – I lived in south Texas for 30 years, so I've got an idea what Mexican food is all about. This isn't it. The salsa reminds me of Pace Picante and the chips are more like corn shingles than real chips. The food was good, but highly Americanized, which is a shame.
