I have brought my import car in for numerous repairs. Joshua and his crew are thorough professionals. I was treated with fairness, respect followed by affordable competitive pricing. Do NOT take your vehicle to these people. Josh at the desk is nice as can be but when it comes to their mechanics and the OWNER...they are a joke! EVERY SINGLE THING WE HAVE HAD DONE ON OUR F150 by Mad Hatter was wrong and has ended up costing us more money in repairs. To start. 1. We needed a pulley replaced. Sounds simple enough but they put on the wrong size pulley, we drove it home and the belt fell off!! 2. Brought my truck in for a quick and simple exhaust change. Even brought my own tips to save a little money. Josh called me and asked if he could put new chrome tips on the truck due to how nice the truck was so I agreed. Josh later called me to let me know my truck was done. when I went to pick the truck up I was amazed at the job they did and the initiative. my truck looks amazing and the price and experience was great. they are FAST, FAIR and FRIENDLY. that's the best I can say it , good job guys
Rip off report!!! I took my car in to Mad Hatter on 23rd to have the brake pads changed and oil change. I was charged $475.00 for brake pad replacement and oil change. The brakes have been squealing every since I left. I called to see if they would check the brakes and Josh said it will cost me to look at them. Also they didnt use the oil I wanted and the oil filter was a cheap non name brand.This place is run by crooks and will over charge you big time. Saved Me $200 – I was told by another shop I needed $650 worth of work to stop an oil leak. They check my car and found no oil leak. They did recommend changing my timing belt, seals and water pump as part of preventative maintenance and then gave me a quote. The price was $200 less than the other shop that was trying to scare me into doing the work. They even walked me out to the shop and got under my car to show me there was no oil leak. Panama City's most Dishonest Automotive Center!! – BUYER BEWARE. This company is currently PAYING CUSTOMERS WITH A FREE OIL CHANGE TO POST A 5 STAR REVIEW! In brief, I was quoted several times that a job I had Mad Hatter on 23rd street perform would be $400. The bill was over $650, and the mechanics tried to take left over parts from me. They also didn't do the job right (left some nuts/bolts loose, and did not swap over a few sensors which they were PAID to do). You Can Trust These People – The family cruise broke down during Spring Break. We needed our car repaired fast. We are not from Panama City so we didn't no where to go. The desk clerk recommended we have it towed to Mad Hatter in town. We followed her recommendation and we were glad we did. Those guys were fast, friendl and professional. We had our car back that afternoon. They even came to the beach to pick us up. Great people. Highly recommended.
Only Honest People In Town – Went to one shop that wanted to charge me $120 to take of my locking lug nuts (I lost the key) and replace them with regular lug nuts. Another shop didn't even bother talking to me. I went to Mad Hatter. They got me in fast, pulled out a tool and removed and replaced my lug nuts in about 10 minutes and only charged me $20. Next time, I'm going there first.
