Great spot in a cool old diner car. Authentic service, an owner and kitchen that cares. Not perfect, but who is, and who cares? I'm already looking forward to visiting again, soon.
Had a very brief interaction with the owner/manager, Raymond.... Maybe 45 seconds to place my order for a breakfast sandwich. In that short span of time I was amazed at how warm, friendly, witty, hard working, and intelligent this manager is. At the same time he was being swarmed by a frenzy of cooks, customers, and servers (all while also cooking on the grill)... Went to dinner on a Thursday at 5pm right when they opened. Only two other tables were occupied. We were seated right away. Our drinks and one appetizer came out in a timely manner. We had to wait an hour for our main meal. Noticed three other tables that were seated after us got their meals before us. We asked why it was taking so long. We were told there was a "hiccup" in the kitchen. It seemed like they forgot about our dinners. No apologies or offer to make up for it.
Amazing service and food. From entree’s to dessert everything was delicious.
