I recently had an emergency with my small fur buddy and they turned me away because he wasn't a current patient with them (I live 2 minutes away). He died in my car 5 minutes away from a vet in grand rapids witch is a hour and 10 minute drive. I can't help wonder if he would still be alive if they didn't have Dutch a dumb rule.

Mike, we are sincerely sorry for your loss of your friend and family member. As stated on our website and on our messaging service we only see emergencies for established clients for a few reasons. Unfortunately due to the volume of calls we receive it would be impossible for our doctors to keep up. We have 2 doctors that rotate and are on call for a week at a time, plus working the regular work week. This was my first visit to the clinic. We have been looking for a new large animal vet as ours has retired. I was very impressed with the staff. They are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I think we have found our new large animal vet.
This place is awesome!! The staff is the most caring, giving, and nice people I've met. I have used their services for 15 years now and I can tell you they are way better than any vet I used while living in Holland. The staff worked with me in taking care of my cat that had kidney failure. With their help I had two extra years with my baby. The staff and vets here are so welcoming. We were on vacation and had a small issue with our dogs and they got us right in. They were fabulous!!

I want to thank your Vet from the bottom of my heart for coming out on a cold winters day to sew up my horse Shy. I am so thankful she took our call, even thou we were not a client. Took my litter of 5 day old Goldens (8) to have there dew claws removed. Dr Lisa did a great job. No complications. She had me in and out of the office in under 15 min! What great service.
