Very clean and modern room with brick walls and privacy. There was a strong smell of sanitiser when we first entered the room, but it dispersed quickly when we opened the window, and there was no smell remaining. The hotel was fully booked and our room was in the far corner, some way from the nearest car parking spot, and upstairs with no lift. It was very quiet, and we slept very well. Food and donor at Settlers Inn two doors down were very good.

Review from my grandmother Lynette Reeve; Many thanks to the Macquarie Barracks Motor Inn for their excellent and compassionate service during our stay late last month, when a water pipe burst in our home and we had to move out for a week for the carpets to dry out. My first joy was when I discovered I could take my cat with me. Before that I did not know that a pet friendly motel existed in Port. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We only stayed for one night, rooms are a bit dated but clean and the beds were comfortable. The room we stayed in you could hear loud running water at night when a neighbouring room flushed their toilet. But overall an okay location for a pit stop along the way as it's got lots of food options close by and is central.
