I’m leaving a 1-star review for this clinic, but I want to emphasize that it is not a reflection of Dr. Merali himself—he is an excellent doctor. My issue is with his front desk staff, who are truly horrible. Based on other reviews, I can see that I’m not the only one who has experienced this. I became a patient of Dr. Merali after meeting him at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, where I was treated before undergoing a quadruple artery bypass in Newmarket. My father had a serious hypertensive episode and we had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Ashish Patel. He was incredibly kind and compassionate. He educated my dad on what things he can do at home to help and monitored him closely with blood pressure diaries. He is a rare find and I would recommend to anyone!!
Dr Merali is an amazing doc. Friendly, caring and very knowledgeable. Not like other places that treat patients as an OHIP#.
The front office staff wasn’t pleasant at all. Moreover, she behave in a very arrogant and rude manner . I felt it from my first visit and would say it wasn’t give me better impression later,when after the general surgery I have experienced heart health complications and would like to see cardiologist dr. Patel , who I have seen before. The secretary Dana ( if name is right ) has acted as decision making . Under any circumstances and in any way she wouldn’t let me to see the doctor.
