This place is the best. Staff are always friendly, prompt and professional. I stop in mainly before or after Rockies games. The happy hour prices are great. The food is outstanding. The vibe is always fun. With all the options by the ballpark I highly recommend Machete.
Came for tacos on a Sunday. Service was good. Restaurant is fairly dusty and could use a good cleaning. Bathroom had the primary roll of toilet paper on the floor. Guac was a very small portion for $12 & was basically just sad denver avocado mash with little additional inclusions. Ordered tacos - chicken, shrimp, birria and steak. The meat was very tender. Good meat to tortilla ratio - but nothing special about the flavors.
Great place by Union Station. We stopped for drinks late on a Saturday morning and the margarita was to die for! We didn't try any food, but the smells from the kitchen were very enticing. Maybe next time.
Service was sub par and that was after we flagged down server. Forgot quite a few things and rarely checked on us. Food was pretty good. Ambiance was terrible. We were a table of 4 originally seated inside. Ended up moving outside because we had to yell at each other to be heard. Once seated outside we couldn’t believe how hot it was. My favorite place for tacos downtown! Great food, fun atmosphere, can get very loud.
