Amanda and Philip helped with my real estate purchase and was very thorough and aided with my questions. My only gripe is that they made a mistake on my land transfer documentation for my birthdate and when I followed up via email and phone call, I received no response to correct this. I was forced to go to another local firm to assist me.
Working with Kevin and Zahra at Mcdonald Sager Manis on the closing of our home purchase was a great experience. Zahra was especially responsive and helpful in making sure everything was going according to schedule so there would be no issues with closing. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future.
I hired David Kornhauser as my lawyer for the sale of my business. His fees was a bit on the high end but I was under the impression that since they are in downtown so they must be very good. First of all David does not do much himself, it is his assistant Lisa Robinson who prepares and takes care of all the documents. The first mistake that Lisa made was that she could not balance the trust statement properly which I pointed out to her and she responded with an OOPS!. BEWARE! THEY STOLE MY MONEY. After quoting me what they wrote was “a safe and fair estimate of $5,000” when they took my case which already had been far along from a referred lawyer, they ended up billing ALMOST 3X THE AMOUNT. And because they were holding escrow they ended up taking my money before even allowing me to see a full breakdown of the hours.
