dr. macDonald Dr. Macdonald I can see his dog truck in my head. He was a life saver in my books it was time to call it quits to many doctor appointments he needed to concentrate on HIMSELF. He had a pic of all the a&M guys that lost their lives (which happened to be one of the kids I got 1 of my cats from lost his life in the Bonfire) a coincidence. Old MacDonald-New Mission great value and care! Just went to work in Dallas and needed a good reasonable vet close by the office for emergencys. At home I drive 65 miles to find what I call a good vet, and have been involved with AKC champion dogs for 30 yrs so trust me I know a good one from a crook. Dr Woods has replaced Dr MacDonald who retired. I found him compassionate and gentle, very competent, but conservative in treatment without over reacting. Above all extremely reasonable in prices. Macdonald Animal Clinic is a gift from God it's a wonderful place,i have a question,i have a dachshund about 5yrs. old,he has really bad breath,today i discover why, i was wiping his teeth with these dental wipes & found a tooth bloody & very lose,what can i do. i have lost my job & have no insurance,& money is tight,please give me some advice,i know it must be painful,thanks for your time. janetvd@aol.com
Superb Care from a Vet with a Superb Heart Dr. Macdonald has treated four of my dogs. He is a Texas A & M alum who gives of himself to each and every creature. His wealth of experience pours out in common language that all pet owners can understand. Dr. Macdonald is a testament to an older, simpler, kinder world of sincere caring and deep committment. His fees permit people to give care to their animals that would otherwise not be within reach. He is a great model for our children and a great friend to all living things.
This Doctor is the most caring of Vets and the LEAST expensive Yes he is in a bit of a rough part of town and yes the office is not gleaming or new. So what! He truly cares about animals and undercharges so no one has an excuse not to care for their pets. I was quoted $550 for an operation at Park Cities Animal Hospital (I shudder to think what Lovers Lane would have charged) that was $100 here. Dr. Mac is a flashback in veterinary care! Don't be put-off by the location of this clinic or by its small size; Dr. Mac knows his stuff. He really does remind you of a small-town vet. Age is catching up with him, but he still manages to care for your animals as you would, and he is known for rescuing strays and unwanted animals and finding them good homes. He's also a die-hard Aggie!
