Ford Mobile Service was able to do warranty repair on my vehicle in the parking lot at my work. Very convenient
Today was the second time the service department fell short of any expectations. I had to make an appointment 2 1/2 weeks in advance for a small problem. I took it in and waited for a call (which I never got) and ended up calling them and was told it would be 2 days before anyone could look at it. Service advisors are not really people persons but the collision center and salespeople are great. A couple months ago techs had left cig ash and grease stains in my explorer and the advisors refused to detail. I definitely do not use grease at home. Had to go to a separate detail place out of pocket to get the grease out.
They diagnosed my car with a coolant leak and quoted me at least $1,700 just to find out where it was coming from. That immediately sounded excessive, so I decided to get a second opinion. A trusted mechanic inspected the car and found no coolant leak at all — instead, it was simply an oil leak and a bad coil, which they repaired for a fraction of the cost.
