By far one of the best fine dining resturants in detorit. You pay for the high quality of ingredients used, the execllent service and the overall classy but relaxed expirence.
This was, without a doubt, one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. The tasting menu was the perfect choice. My wife and I were delighted with the selections. The service was on point. Very attentive. It was a little loud inside due to the smaller size of the seating area. If you're looking for a quiet intimate date this might not be the best spot but the food is outstanding. I will be going back.
After much anticipation my girlfriend and I visited Mabel Gray this week to celebrate my birthday. With so much hype surrounding the restaurant we tried to stay open minded and go with the flow unsure of exactly what to expect. Two things about the experience unfortunately set it apart from the "finest of dining" experiences. 1st our reservation time was not honored, we didn't reach our table until 20 minutes after our reservation time and didn't get our drink order until about 30 minutes in. Not sure why I waited so long to try Mabel Gray, but my goodness was it great! We did the tasting menu and were able to sample 8 different dishes that had a good range of flavors, and textures. The service was like a well oiled machine, there wasn't long waits between plates, our server checked on us frequently and recommended some good wine pairings, and it was just a very good experience from start to finish.
