Toured the space and really liked it BUT they need to do better house keeping. The walls were dirty and had spills and spots on them. The sheer curtains were nasty and discolored. The chair cushions they provide were stained and definitely needed to be either cleaned or replaced. Also don’t like the music volume restriction. They should also use something to hide or cover up the supplies they have on the wall. It’s a eye sore.
We have used this venue for 3 semiformals and formals and I can't complain enough. Terrible. No music over 80 decibles. Not loud at all, especailly for a formal. Within the first 15 minutes someone came in each time with a complaint of sound. I understand people live above it but don't rent out the venue for events that involve music and volume if you can't have it. You get what you pay for and there is a reason this venue is one of the cheapest in Columbia.
we used this space for our semi-formal. from the start, they did not inform her of any HOA or music restrictions until AFTER she had signed the contract. in case you didn’t know, the 85 decibel limit is actually around 79 because employees will routinely interrupt your private event to tell you to turn down the music. moreover, they will completely lie about what was communicated before the event i.e. that you have a dj coming. the owner SPOKE TO THE DJ and still tried to claim they didn’t know we had a dj. during your priva... read more
