Dr. Castro was the worst doctor my daughter has ever had. She accused my daughter of skipping her medication and constantly dismissed her symptoms, even though she took it religiously. She was unwilling to try different doses and medications to see if it would help her feel better. She would only look at lab numbers, not caring how my daughter felt. She was so overmedicated, her quality of life suffered greatly. Because of being overmedicated, she had to see other specialists, which led her to having to take an additional me... read more
The best endocrinologist!!! I thank god that she is taking care of my Aunt.
Dr. Castro asked questions about my history and listened. She was knowledgeable and insightful about my medical condition and made appropriate referrals for other symptoms. I felt like I was in good hands and will continue to follow up with her care in the future.
I would schedule with someone else. My first impression felt awkward; she walked in the room and then started talking to her colleague about an unrelated issue. She lacked compassion and interupted me multiple times. I could barely get my questions answered. I felt dismissed and like an inconvenience. If her approach to medicine is anything like her social skills I need to get a second opinion. I'm surprised she's working at such a wonderful place like the Mayo Clinic.
