Cheaply built expensive homes. The most frustrating part about living in an M/I development is the lack of control they have over their subcontractors. Subcontractors treat the neighborhood streets like a racetrack. Construction sites are filthy, workers never observe required safety measures when working on elevated surfaces.
I have had cracks in my drywall for the last 3 winters. This year MI Homes had their contractor go in my attic. Found split 2x4’s due to trusses attached to interior walls. Had to hire a structural engineer to pretty much say the same thing. But he had fixes that needed to be done. Looks like MI Homes is not willing to repair under warranty. When we first met Stephanie at the model home, she was friendly and interested in knowing us and what we were looking for. Stephanie and Brett answered questions and checked in on us. Stephanie was our eyes through the build. Definitely above and beyond! Juliana, the interior designer was amazing and really helped us to narrow in on what we wanted. We talked to ALOT of builders but M&I hands down was the best. Quality of product and service delivery unmatched. Completely happy in all respects. Any future home purchase most definitely will be with M&I.
