Recently Contracted for a new house with MI Homes Valley Brooke community in Mesquite Texas. Sales counselor Laura Robertson did a great job of providing service in the selection process. She is very professional highly organized and dedicated to customer service. My client is happy with the great and reputable MI Homes Experience.

We purchased a villa in Sweetwater in 2023. The home and neighborhood is wonderful. However, The communication from the warranty office is awful. They never get back to you. Also, read the contract very closely. Luckily, we did. The sales agents will tell you anything to sell a house. The worst thing about Sweetwater is the HOA. I bought one of their homes here in Apopka and have regretted it ever since. The community has gone down hill in the ten months since I've been here. The grass is dead or has been taken over with weeds. Their is trash every where and it amazes me how many cars have expired tags. You can afford to pay for a $350k - $400k home but you can't keep your tags up to date. I didn't pay all this money to live in a dump. DO NOT BUY FROM M/I HOMES! M/I hired a cheap contractor to build our dysfunctional shower with rotted wood and dangerous mold less than TWO YEARS after the home was built. We received multiple professional opinions that the shower was poorly built and should be covered under M/I's "warranty" as a structural issue. Once you sign for your home, M/I's tone will completely change. Getting them to honor any part of their warranty or false promises is like pulling teeth. BUYER BEWARE! Thieves. They stole my earnest money, and sold my unit for a higher price. They are an awful company. Don’t trust them. Horrible construction. They market their homes at the Everton Flats as a “Clubhouse a community” which is a complete and total lie. These people are unethical deceptive thieves who are irrational money hungry con artists. From start to finish Jessica Felicio was the consummate professional. Jessica always returned my text or calls throughout the construction of my buyer's home. She sent weekly emails including photos and informed my buyers and myself every step of the way what was happening during the building process. We would strongly suggest that you do not purchase a home from MI. There are better builders for your money. The quality of their homes are poor, they do not stand by their work, hire unqualified , non-trained subcontractors and do not make the necessary repairs to post close. Their employees lack honesty and integrity from the feet on the street to their upper management.

The buying experience at Talavera was top notch. Hope and Mike were super helpful before, during, and AFTER the sale. Our construction manage Dan, was very helpful during the construction process, walkthrough, and touch up process. The closing process was super easy with MI Financial. We would recommend them to anyone looking to buy an MI Home. We are very happy with the home that was built for us.
