My boyfriend bought an Mi home last year in the lakewood ranch area. There were a few things that the warranty department needed to fix. They sent a guy to our home named Tim to fix the issues. Tim told my boyfriend the name of his business so I decided to look him up. After doing some research I discovered that Tim has a very large criminal history. I am not someone to leave low rating reviews and I believe this is probably the only low rating review I have ever left. That being said I ordered a home to be built by MI Homes in the Sarasota area and it took 13 months to build which was due to the fact that they went through 5 different construction managers to finish the home. Every time I did not receive an update weeks sometimes even months I would have to call them and hear the same story over and over again that they had to fire the last builder and they are looking ... read more
The lack of professionalism astonishes me with MI homes. The poor quality of literally everything is unimaginable. Wall paint comes off after putting a piece of tape on it! Stairs squeak with every step! Upon moving in our hot water didn’t work for a whole week, I couldn’t bathe my newborn baby and no one wanted to do anything about it. Reaching the warranty manager is absolutely impossible. Sadly I was left very disappointed with MI homes.
