I am a 2nd owner on a relatively new MI Homes in Ellenton.FL. Recently I had some questions about my home...things like waranty info, exterior paint and trim colors, installers, etc. The answers were important, but where does one go? I checked the MI "move in" packet the original owner conveyed at our closing for answers I needed. I didn't see the answers there, I called Sherwin Williams paint store, they didn't have the info I needed ,so I called the MI customer service number. Inferior workmanship. Appliances breaking at 18 mos. Lied about HOA allowing fencing.
My boyfriend bought an Mi home last year in the lakewood ranch area. There were a few things that the warranty department needed to fix. They sent a guy to our home named Tim to fix the issues. Tim told my boyfriend the name of his business so I decided to look him up. After doing some research I discovered that Tim has a very large criminal history. Including BURGLARY and was in prison not too long ago. I was in disbelief that MI would allow someone like this into our home. Please beware of the people Mi is letting into you... read more
