Wouldn't recommend buying a home here. We've had multiple issues with our house including our pipes freezing due to MI not properly insulating. Our most recent problem has been electrical. Multiple lights in our house are flickering and possibly from arcing which could start a fire. This is due to MI taking shortcuts and making everything cheap. Of course we're past our warranty period and MI won't take care of an issue that they created from being cheap.
We purchased this house on April 26, 2021. Our master bath shower is leaking into our closet in our hallway next to powder room. MI has turned us down to fix this issue. I understand things happen and this should be corrected by MI instead of leaving us to foot the bill. I believe this is a construction defect. A new home shower should not be leaking a little over a year after purchase.
