Thank you to the nurse that talked to me in the early morning hours of January 21st, 2022 (just a couple of days ago now). I had been sleep deprived due to a cold or flu and thus also hadn't eaten in a couple of days and could not sleep whatsoever and had several concerns involving my health and a couple new prescriptions I'd gotten the day prior since I wasn't used to going to the doctor or being prescribed anything before (I'm 34). was recently seen in the ER once they found out that I saw a pain specialist and was prescribed pain medication I was treated like a med seeking junky despite not complaining of pain or requesting any medication. I was running a fever and for some reason they gave me a very dangerous lumbar puncture based solely on that premise. Who gives out spinal taps for low grade fevers. I honestly think it was done sheerly for financial gain IE Medicare Fraud.
I know and have known more than a half dozen people who were treated at this hospital at different times (from 2000 to present) who had nothing less than a horrendous experience at St. John's. My mother in law was misdiagnosed by them, treated very rudely, and sent home after they told her she had Chromes disease. She died 2 days later when my ex wife brought her to HCMC emergency and they discovered she had a severe stomach disorder that wasn't Chromes, and they told my ex that had she gotten my mother in law in the day bef... read more

I have had two surgeries at the hospital. On both occasions, I was treated very well by the entire team. The doctors were amazing and the care was exceptional. Throughout my stay I was impressed by the cleanliness of the hospital well as the overall kindness of everyone which helped me to relax. I had absolute faith in the surgeons. I have also visited the Emergency room twice. The second time was during a snow storm when I broke my ankle. Again I was very well treated.
