Terrible! Terrible service! My bus only comes once a week, at most! Most of the time it doesn’t come at all. This is terrible service and a bad inconvenience for the kids, including me, that don’t have any other way to get home because their parents work until late. I have to take Ubers almost everyday and that’s like 20 dollars everyday.
I’m an experienced driver from out of state. I applied for MDPS as a bus driver and after going through the process of getting finger printed ( which you have to pay out of pocket, no reimbursement) I was told they do not accommodate bus drivers who have children as you drive for them. My previous job assisted parents who drive for the county and made accommodations for their child to get on the bus from which ever school they went to (in the county) and arrange a pick up point so that the bus driver could have their childre... read more

This morning I was making a left hand turn on 183rd Street from 42nd avenue. I was the third car behind and going northbound. There was a school bus number 37483 at the light and pulled out right in front of the first car when we had yellow green light. The first two cars had to slam on their brakes. I was far enough back. I just seen it all this driver. If he would have had kids on there could have had a major accident. This was about 8:20 this morning
