This is overdue, but I am leaving this review as a review of both The Edgar as a whole and of Steve, our maintenance provider at the building. I moved into The Edgar from out-of-state in January of 2020, and unfortunately moved out recently at the end of 2025. My 6 years at The Edgar (originally Lytle Tower when I moved in) could not have been more pleasant of an experience. I would strongly caution anyone considering living here. There are serious safety concerns that management has failed to address—specifically, homeless individuals regularly sleeping in the foyer. This creates an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous environment for residents, and despite it being an ongoing issue, nothing meaningful has been done to fix it. 5/5. Have lived here for the past 4 years and recommend this building to anyone relocating to Downtown Cincinnati. The building is perfectly situated between the Banks and OTR and offers essential amenities like a gym, lounge, package closet, etc. I can’t emphasize how great this location is. You’re a 5 minute walk to the ballpark, 10 to OTR, 20-25 to Newport. This part of downtown is generally more calm than others since the surrounding areas are mostly businesses and hotels. Steve, our maintenance man, is excellent. He takes care of our issues very quickly and very well. We seriously miss him when he is off. Michelle, our apartment manager, is also excellent. She is always very friendly to all of us. She is very attentive to our individual needs. She runs the place very smoothly. She is open to suggestions for improvements and change.
