Dr. Weakland was not a kind doctor. She never smiled. Never engaged in healthy conversation with her. Very disconnected, unpleasant, intimidating, and very sarcastic behavior was a struggle during my visits. Not sure why she went into this area of practice. Being a professional in this field one would need to be empathetic, nurturing, supportive, and caring to all walks of life. I personally felt she was more disconnected because of my race. if you want organized care stay away from the canton office.
Never could see the doctor. Spent months trying to get through the red tape while I progressively get worse. Maybe the doctor is good but after two months of trying, I’ll never know. Looking for a competent physician now. An incompetent staff is life-threatening to a cancer patient
Too busy, lost in the shuffle. Won't stop and listen to you or explain anything adequately. Rushed. Poor communication between staff. Nurse triage line takes 2-3 days to receive a call back, concerns are not taken seriously. She ignored results of a PET scan that showed hepatic metastatic disease for four months and hem-hawed around with medications that she knew weren't going to work. Clearly she is easy and made my visit nice calm,and easy.
Dr. Weakland was professional, engaging , supportive, thorough with a concerned demeanor. First time I’ve seen her and was a little apprehensive.. Pleased she will be my ongoing physician.
Her practice is way too busy. Expect to always wait a couple of hours past your appointment time and then you need to be well-organized to make the best use of the 10 minutes or so that you get with her. While Dr. Redd’s knowledge seemed to be good and she came up with some good ideas during my appointments, there was generally no follow-through on those ideas. She was very good, excellent doctor. I would still be seeing her but had to move out of the area.
