Absolutely disappointing sat in waiting room for 3 hours with a heart rate of 140 and shaking due to the severe back pain i was in and it wasn't until a lovely nurse Alex kept advocating for me to be seen that I was finally taken into ed and put on a bed to then wait an additional hr to even see the doctor who didnt know what to do so took another hour for her to talk to her boss only to return and say "were happy to send you home" I just wanted some help i wanted to make sure I hadn't done any more damage to my back. I recently had a procedure, & I couldn't fault the nurses & staff who took great care of me. They made me feel comfortable, safe & regularly checked in if I needed anything. But most of all, I cannot give high enough praise & gratitude to Sam & Oakleigh who went above & beyond in the departure area, but also ensuring i safely secured transport to get back home to Port Pirie. To all the staff at the Lyell McEwin hospital, thank you. Sincerely Kelly Cameron

Contrary to a previous review from John and June Whitell, the hospital took excellent care of my Uncle.The staff where so caring and supportive. Due to multiply restraining orders held by members of her family and her disgusting abusive behaviour towards staff at the hospital her access was restricted. Even now after all these years her lies continue, using her new husbands account to continue with her false narrative. The lies need to stop!!

Recently a friend 96 year old man following a fall ..he lives at home with no aged care package or funding ...at the very least a social worker should have got involved to assist him ....he's home now ,and still no support SHAME ON YOU FOR NOT ACTING to do something ...his daughter lives in Sydney ... .

Wow.... I hear a lot of negative feedback about this hospital so thought I would write a very positive review about my experience during the last couple of days in The Stroke Ward. From when I was admitted each nurse was thorough, friendly, professional and couldnt do enough for me. I commend all the Staff and Doctors. The food was exceptional for a Hospital and when I was discharged they were very organised and everything went smoothly. Well done! I would choose to go there again if I had to go to hospital.
