i’ve been coming to lux for over 7 years and they normally have great pastries but the berry strussuel bar I got today was below what i’ve come to expect from lux. i’ve been getting this bar for years and today it tastes like they cut WAY back on the mixed berries and bulked up the bottom dough layer, maybe to cut corners. i’m a bit disappointed especially because these pastries aren’t exactly cheap but now they taste cheap
First and last time going to this place. There is no customer service at this establishment. They give you water without ice, the girl at the register has a gross attitude. The old gentleman goes between touching trash to handling the baked food, highly unsanitary. Also they drop your food on their dirty counter as you’re checking out and they do not replace the contaminated food
17 + years in - this is still my fav coffee place, ever. Thanks for being you, Lux. I can always count on a great cup of coffee, a delicious pastry, a bag of espresso beans, and a smile (Thank you Eric!)
This place has a 4.5 star rating, which I would give it for the food, it is very good. However I’ve had one too many experiences with the baristas that act too cool here. Just this morning I met the most unfriendly and unhelpful barista yet at the cash register and I don’t think I ever need to go back to Lux again. If you are reading this I can almost guarantee you’ll enjoy your experience better just down the road at Moxie, so I’d go there instead.
Came in to kill some time before heading to the VA. Had a black and white and a croissant. Was very good and the atmosphere is inviting. Service is good 👍.
