The worst ER experience in the history of existence. The nurses in this hospital are absolutely disgusting. They treat you like garbage when you’re there for an emergency, on the brink of collapsing and feeling like you’re about to die. They’re just absolutely horrible. Disgusting attitudes in the way they speak to you and the other patients there. You can tell there’s no love in the work they do. It’s like they’re secretly hoping you’ll die. I have never been so disappointed in the way that I was treated at Lutheran General. I was transferred there from Sherman hospital in Elgin Illinois because they did not have the ability to remove the blood clots in my left leg. So after hours of waiting Lutheran General said that they had a room ready for me. Waited 6 hrs to be seen. The ER needs more drs & nurses & should outsource cleaning! Help is super young and tries but for whatever reason on a beautiful Tues. afternoon everybody and his brother was in the ER. Not the hospital I remember from 40 yrs ago. Even though the teams worked well(bilingual and kind) would wash out in a MASH unit. But have been to 2 other ERs and it's the same thing. SAD.
