Really amazing experience but wish I'd taken a a light jacket, I forgot how cold it was underground and after an hour long tour at 54° I was freezing and couldn't wait for it to be over. Well worth a visit, but take a jacket.
Caverns were not as cold as people said. And it was beautiful. Felt like a little kid going through the maze. Very fun. Rope climbing was scary on certain areas and your arms will hurt from the ropes! All in all it was worth the drive there.

just got back from jogging thru Luray. my fouth visit since i was a child.. took my grandson for his first and probably last visit. This is a Thursday and not a holiday but we were herded thru in a group of at least forty. we were rushed through and the guide started talking before the back of the group had reached the area. moved so fast that we had to wait to enter the organ room. because my daughter grandson and I are short we couldn't see what the guide was pointing out. beautiful cave but just not worth it.
Had a wonderful time with my children and grandchildren. Just picked the wrong day to wear new shoes.
Beautiful! Toured by a polite and knowledgeable guy. Few guests were rude and talked a lot but that is no one fault! I Would go again.
