Free parking, multiple discounts available to offset entrance costs, and impressive scenery below ground. Our tour group was a bit too large, and other tour groups could be heard while we were walking.

Over sized arrogant crowds on tours. Heard less than half of the tour guides explanations of the caverns due to management pushing through very large crowds. Save your money! Such a waste of our overnight vacation. I had been many years ago and it was great. Not anymore. Our visit was anything but enjoyable. Avoid
It was a very scenic cavern compared to others throughout the country. The Staff was excellent and very knowledgeable. Would recommend LURAY CAVERNS to all my friends and family to see at least once.
The cavern itself is beautiful and one of the best I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was awful. They now have a self guided tour experience, which does not work in a cave. There were too many people going through at once so you don’t have the opportunity to enjoy the scenery. The staff at the locations rarely did their jobs to explain the features and did not monitor the other tourists to ensure they keep their hands off of the features in order to preserve the natural wonder of the cavern. We went to Luray Caverns on a Saturday and they crammed so many people into the cavern that we literally had to take baby steps the entire time. It was like waiting in a never ending line with “guides” screaming at you to move along (yes, yelling and screaming). Someone there should look into crowd management to make visiting a pleasant experience rather than something to be endured.
