We had an incredible experience with The Lumber Exchange and would highly recommend it to anyone planning a wedding or special event! Had a HORRIBLE experience here last weekend at a friends wedding, it’s was 86 degrees inside the venue the whole night. Staff openly blamed the bride and groom for booking in the summer as if weddings don’t happen at this venue in the summer all the time. No fans were provided by the venue and the bridal party literally left to bring fans from their houses. They knew it was going to be hot that weekend and still offered no solutions and I’m pretty sure haven’t even offered any sort of refund. It was so hot people were having... read more
This venue was nice however the wedding I attended was so ridiculously hot and humid. It was 90+ degrees and every single guest was sweating like crazy. When the wedding party asked for fans they were told they were all at another wedding. Family and friends had to leave basically after dinner due to the heat. And one older family member had to leave due to over heating. If you are doing a fall or winter wedding it is beautiful. But book with caution in the summer.
Attended a wedding here this past weekend and how they handled the lack of air conditioning on a 100+ degree day was terrible. Sounds like the AC went out at around Noon (and was never serviced), the wedding I attended didn’t start until later afternoon and the inside got up to about 85 degrees. It was not a pleasant experience and made a heavy impact on how the wedding played out. Guests that would have otherwise stuck around well into the night ended up leaving due to the heat. I attended a wedding here last night and it was easily 90+ degrees inside the venue, especially at times where everyone was congregating in one room such as the ceremony and the dinner. I’m not sure if this is a normal occurrence there or if the AC was broken? It was extremely uncomfortable and I know how disappointing it probably was for the bride and groom who were looking forward to dancing, most of the guests left after dinner due to the heat.
