The Pappardelle Pollo with vodka sauce was quite literally the best pasta dish I’ve ever had. The restaurant also had a great atmosphere. It felt comfortable and familiar, and everyone was friendly. I will be going back often.
Food (spinach salad, fish entrees and linguine w/seafood) were delicious. Salad dressing was light and flavorful, and linguine was also surprisingly light. Fish was well-prepared as were the vegetables. Rices are very reasonable. Service was a little hectic, but worked. Maybe because it was a weekday and we were there early, only one waitperson was on duty until a second arrived after 30 minutes or so later. Atmosphere is very comfortable. It will be a go to for us when we’re in North Beach- which is often.
They seated us next to the cleaning supply closet when the restaurant was fairly empty, complained when we moved a table over to move away from it, and showed up with the check in hand before we asked for it. I’ve never had worse service at a restaurant. Only thing saving it from a lower rating was that the food was good. Would avoid and go to one of the many other Italian restaurants in the area instead

Looking at other reviews many seem excellent so we booked here. But we did see some that mentioned very slow and rude service. Unfortunately our party of 2 found ourselves among the latter. Painfully bad service. Rude waiter. Begged for any level of service and was rebuffed. Food that finally came was quite good but the horrific service overshadowed the food.
