My favorite place in northwest Michigan. The hydroplant is massive but tranquil. There is a path to an overlook of the reservoir, as well as a bridge over the road to an overlook of the plant and a view of Lake Michigan. The entire system is an amazing feat of engineering.

A 2300MWh battery that does not require heavy metals mining or hazardous chemical waste (take that, Elon!). A precursor to a renewable energy future with wind/solar powering pumps during the day to deliver consistent reliable power at night........ wonderful views and site too!
Didn't know this place before. First time been here. Didn't walk up to the overlook as it's a long way uphill.
