My first time here in town and it was very good. I ordered the pineapple fried rice (8/10) not sure if there was actual pineapple chunks because I didn’t have any and would also prefer more protein (I ordered it with shrimp), lao sausage (10/10) which was very good with the dipping sauce, pho with meatball and steak (10/10) was very good and I’m usually very picky. The food was great, don’t get me wrong, but what really stood out to me was our wonderful server Elliott. He served our food so quickly, with such kindness - I have never been treated as good at a restaurant as I did today at Lucky Lotus. I had tears in my eyes by the end of dinner wishing that I could come here everyday just to served by this wonderful man. We need more people like him in the world.
The food was amazing, but the real star was our server Elliott. He was so kind and made sure we were satisfied with our food. The service was undoubtedly the best part of the whole experience. I’ll be visiting Des Moines again just so I can come back to this restaurant.
Food was just okay. Service was nothing special and drinks and water were served room temperature with no ice. Probably won't go back.
Papaya Salad ,Lao Sausages , Nam Khao Tod was ok but Chicken wing ( LFC) like stone and burn . Not expect for service , staff not even smile or check on your food. There are like food street style. Self service.
