Great place for BBQ!
It's more of a self serve restaurant. You had to stand in line at the counter to place your order, get drinks from soda fountain and pick up condiments rather than a waiter bringing them to your table. This did not lesson the quality of the food. I enjoyed my meal. The price was reasonable as well.
Great portion sizes for the price. The chicken was moist and tender. It tasted baked instead of grilled. The sweet bbq sauce was really good. It reminded me of Cleveland style BBQ. The sides were better than most BBQ places in Atlanta. The flavor of the potato salad was good, but the potatoes needed to be a little softer and some egg in the potato salad would've been nice. I've eaten here many times before the food has always been A+ but today I didn't get A+ food. The brisket was dry and so was the rib tips. It seemed like they gave me the end pieces of both of those meats. The collard greens had no flavor, the macaron and cheese & fried okra was really delicious. The texas toast was hard and taste old, stale. The lb. of rib tips & 1/2 lb. brisket both were orders with texas toast that I didn't get. But in light of the bread being stale and definitely not texas toast, I'm glad I didn't get it... read more
