Food is always good, and portions are large.
I'm not sure what happened to this establishment, but it's really gone down hill! It used to be great. I had dinner for two last night 11/21/25, the food quality was horrible, and the service wasn't great. Our side dishes were cold and stale. The restaurant itself was very cold, it didn't even feel like they had their heat on and it was cold and raining outside! Casual good food ! Event space in back for small parties was perfect for our group
Lucille... what happened to you? The decline in the quality of food is insane. I could have cooked a better meal then the one I had today (and I can't cook worth a damn). There's no love in this food. Just unseasoned sadness.
We got the lunch special to go. The gumbo and chicken fried steak. It was bland as bland can be... we actually were seasoning them both with seasonings from home it was so bland. The mac and cheese side tasted cheap and just thrown together. The quality has really gone down hill from what it once was which is sad. You can see by reading the recent reviews that its not worth the money.
