We had an excellent experience working with Marco Mejia and Sari Levy at Lucid Realty in Chicago. They were knowledgeable, easy to work with, and available when we wanted to talk and/or get together. We worked with them on an hourly basis, and after the closing, they rebated our side of the commission. We will definitely work with them again when we have the opportunity, and highly recommend Lucid Realty.
TLDR: I highly recommend working with Lucid, and would absolutely use them again for any future residential real estate needs. We worked with Marco to buy a home. We were unsure whether we wanted to stick out a few more years in the city or head to a NW suburb. Marco went above and beyond his job description in helping guide our buying decision and the value we might get out of either market. We settled on a home in the suburbs. This is an OK broker.
Updated Feb 2024: We bought another house with Marco. It went extremely well. I am about to deposit a rebate check FROM Lucid realty to me for $39,405. If you are buying a higher-priced home you'd be crazy not to at least talk to them. Period. September 2018: We recently bought a home with Marco Mejia and had a wonderful experience. You would be crazy to work with one of the giant realty shops when buying a home-- this saved us a ton of money and the alignment of incentives made much more sense. Think outside the box!
