This guy does not have a working phone number. He will not give a phone number at any office where he works. Has not updated any online information in years. Maybe he is no longer in practice or moved out of state. The entire process of trying to reach him, or any recepetion desk, or any office he is affiliated with, has been creepy and does not inspire confidence. Grossly unprofessional to say the least.
Dr. Lucas Nikkel performed my knee replacement surgery. He is a terrific doctor. My knee is performing and I feel like myself again. The hospital in Columbia and the nurses there were outstanding. Thank you!

I highly recommend Dr. Nikkel for orthopedic surgery. As a result of an injury and an ER visit, my mom required a knee revision to her 20+ year old knee replacement (completed by another surgeon). It was a complex case with several variables. Dr. Nikkel was very attentive during our consultation. If you are considering a joint replacement surgery I would highly recommend Dr Nikkel of Johns Hopkins medicine. I had a total knee replacement and I went from barely able to walk 9 holes of golf and never retrieving my ball from the cup to walking 18 holes and fully bending with no pain. Dr Nikkel is very detailed oriented which is a good thing when you are having bone cut. He is very patient and answered all my questions completely.
