Lucas Auto Center is absolutely fantastic. Yan and his team are professional, punctual, and extremely talented at what they do. This was my second time bringing a vehicle here. I had come in previously for a different issue, and when it came time to completely redo the AC system with a new compressor and lines, there was no question where I was going. The AC in my 2008 Ford F350 wasn't holding the freon and over the last few years I went to countless repair shops who told me they fixed it but would only hold temporarily. Lucas Auto Center was the first place that properly diagnosed the issue and then repaired it. I just got back from 2 weeks on the road, traveling in a very hot part of the county, and the AC works great! I would highly recommend them!
I brought in my 1991 Miata with an old R-12 system to them, after bringing the car to two different mechanics who could not correctly diagnose and solve my a/c issues. I spend a lot of time in palm desert so I needed the AC to work perfectly, no fuss. Within just a couple of hours they were able to actually find what was wrong with the car, purchase an unobtanium new OEM r-12 compressor, undo a failed r-134 conversion and safely re-charge with original spec r-12 after checking for any leaks. The owner of the workshop is super rude and not at all friendly. If you want good customer service, I don't recommend going here at all. The owner treats you as if you owed him something, rather he is not interested in good customer service that's why I ran out of there and that without adding that he charges very expensive and terrible service.
Lucas Auto Center made the whole experience easy and stress-free. Honest service, great communication, and everything was handled quickly. I’ll definitely be coming back.
