The place for "real" Italian – Having traveled through Italy extensively, savoring the amazing cuisine, it has been difficult finding satisfaction in the typical red sauce and spaghetti Italian joints in America. Our first time at this restaurant and a disappointing experience. I would highly overrated! We decided to try the Chef's tasting menu at the recommendation of the waiter. One would expect the best dishes of the menu and some surprises but none of this at all. Food was too rich and combinations probably didn't work. We both felt stuffed afterwards and the joy of offloading the food the next day was bigger than the 'dining' experience. Epic every time – This place has quickly turned into a favorite for me. Unbelievably impressive menu and service. I have always been a fan of Mizuna'a and will from now on judge every Italian experience based on this place! If you're not willing to venture out and treat yourself to a fantastic dinner than you're missing out. I have and will always recommend Luca. Keep up the great work Frank!
I still have dreams about my meal at Luca. – What could be better? Absolutely amazing dishes (the gnocchi is a must). No Italian restaurant I have been to in Denver comes close.
Wow – Incredible combination of food, service and wine. Rabbit three ways is to die for. Talking with the staff and somellier added immensely to the overall experience. Highly recommended! Great date night.
Luca this Italian! – No spaghetti and meatballs at this place... instead you'll find exquisite, well presented dishes that will make your palate sing! We started with the Salumi, Calamari, and Duck Liver Ravioli. All were good but I can't say enough about the Ravioli. The balsamic reduction that covered them made this dish incredible! Food you can't stop thinking about – From the moment the fusili touched my mouth, I was in heaven. The creamy buttery sauce was extraordinary: just enough to make you savour each bite, but not too much that it's overpowering the delicateness of the fusili itself. Since that dinner, I can't stop thinking about having another bite of that dish.
Incredible! – We use the Gabby Gourmet as a food Bible, and it rated Luca as a TO DIE FOR. Let me tell you, that rating did not do Luca justice. The service was amazing from the hostess and bartender, to the server and chef. The Salumi and vegies were great apps, but the tuna and the Veal en Corroza was out of this world. Best Italian food ever!
impressive – I had the calamari, bresaola, rabbit 3 ways, and the chocolate torte. Absolutely amazing- the freshness and ingredients illuminate the dishes. Waitstaff are attentive and educated in viticulture. Ask for a wine suggestion and get the saltimbocca since I didn't try it on my first visit.
