Thank you for your interest in the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the LSU Health Shreveport, the area's only Level 1 Trauma Center. Our program provides training in postgraduate years 1-3 (PGY 1-3). Each year we accept applications for 8 PGY-1 positions. Graduates of our program are qualified to take the Board Examination in Emergency Medicine. If you're wanting people to care for you and treat you like a paycheck, not a person, then please by all means go here. I waited over 7 hours yesterday and they never got to me. If you asked the station when or how much longer, they promptly and rudely tell you that they cannot tell you anything of the sort, and they'll get to you whenever your turn is due.
